MEGA Night Market Brings Food, Culture, Music and Water Lanterns to Clearwater
Clearwater’s waterfront came alive this weekend as the MEGA Night Market Asian Water Lanterns Summer Food & Music Festival transformed Coachman Park into a colorful celebration of food, entertainment and culture.
Held August 21–23, 2026, the three-day event brought Asian-inspired food, live entertainment, cultural performances, vendors, family activities and glowing water lanterns to downtown Clearwater.
A Celebration of Culture and Entertainment
Entertainment was a major part of the MEGA Night Market experience, with a variety of traditional and contemporary performances scheduled throughout the weekend.
Festival programming included Lion and Dragon Dances, traditional dance performances, fan dancing, cultural showcases, an Asian fashion show, Samba dancers, an LED robot show, live singers and music.
The combination of performances and cultural experiences added another dimension to the festival, giving visitors plenty to see while exploring the market.
Food, Vendors and More to Explore
A night market wouldn’t be complete without plenty of food.
Visitors could explore a variety of food vendors offering Asian-inspired dishes, street-food favorites, sweet treats, desserts, bubble tea, specialty drinks and more.
Local and regional artisans and merchandise vendors were also part of the market, providing another opportunity to browse, shop and discover something new between performances.
Water Lanterns Along the Clearwater Waterfront
One of the signature attractions of the weekend was the Water Lantern Festival.
Lantern releases throughout the event brought glowing lights to the waterfront as evening arrived at Coachman Park.
Combined with the park’s waterfront setting, live entertainment and night market atmosphere, the lantern experience added a distinctive element to the weekend festivities.
Festival kites were also part of the activities, creating a kites-by-day and lanterns-by-night experience.
